The Hill Club, Nuwara Eliya

During my stay, I had the pleasure of dining at the Hill Club. The food was simply excellent, showcasing both Sri Lankan delicacies and Western cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the stringhoppers for breakfast, complemented by a flavorful meat curry. The dining experience truly reflected what you'd expect from a great restaurant.

The Superior Double room I stayed in was spacious and beautifully decorated with colonial charm. The hot water bottle placed in my bed each night was a good touch that made for cozy evenings, especially given the cool weather. It truly felt like stepping back into a comfortable bygone era.

I loved the atmosphere in my room at the Hill Club. It was not only spacious but also maintained the historical charm of the original architecture. The provision of a hot water bottle was a thoughtful addition, keeping the night chill at bay. It felt like a perfect blend of comfort and historic elegance.

One of my favorite spots in the hotel was the dedicated reading room. It was a cozy area filled with an extensive array of books, providing the perfect environment to unwind with a good read. The ambience was incredibly peaceful, allowing me to sink into the experience of relaxation amidst the historic splendor of the club.
